Nelson Quadros

Academia and advisory consulting in tourism and hospitality are part of the professional trajectory of Nelson Antonio Quadros Vieira Filho. Born in Belo Horizonte, Quadros graduated in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), he specialized in the Environmental Impacts Evaluation at Aberdeen University, Scotland, he did his masters in Latin American Studies (Sociology) at the University of London, Great Britain, and in the same country, at Manchester University, he completed his PhD in the Social Anthropology of Tourism.

His areas of work include Tourism, Culture, the Environment, Economy, Business Administration, Urban and Regional Planning. As a university teacher, he tutored many students in final projects, academic research and master’s dissertations. Quadros is a professor at the Dom Cabral Foundation and a member of scientific committees, associations and institutes in the Tourism and Hospitality. He has written more than 50 articles and technical studies in the field and he periodically coordinates groups in national and international conventions and technical events.
